Foundations

Okay, Step #1 – Foundations!

Welcome to the Hope Center! Our Foundations course is a first step designed to introduce you to our Hope Center Family, specifically what we believe and why we believe it.

Below plase find links to forms that have been conveniently set up for you to be able to register for both Foundations courses online. Foundations is taught in two (2) non-consecutive Saturday sessions and attendance at both sessions is required in order to complete the course. Upon completion you will receive a Foundations Course Completion Certificate.

There are many benefits to course completion, not the least of which is that it is a critical factor considered when granting church membership. Classes are held every two months, on two non-concurrent Saturdays, from 9 AM – 1:30 PM. Coffee, snacks and lunch are provided free of charge. Session dates are on our church schedule which is accessible on our website. Please feel free to call Charlie Lopez at our church office, 201-798-1234, ext. 302, should you have questions.

Beliefs

We believe the Bible to be the inspired and infallible word of God – His personal love letter to mankind.

We believe that God is eternal and self-existent and is embodied in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, otherwise referred to theologically as “the Trinity.” We believe man to be the special creation of God, made in His image to have a special and intimate familial relationship with Him as His children. However, because of ego issues brought out through a conversation had in the Garden of Eden, man deliberately choose to disobey God – to sin. As a result of this voluntary action, he broke the unique fellowship that he had with God when created.
